A home, not a hotel.
Travelling is never easy. Book a few days away for business. Drift in and deposit your bags. Hope to grab some sleep before the buffet breakfast and the casual brush-off at checkout.
The Lodge is different. We take the faceless and make it friendly; the impersonal, inviting.
A luxury serviced apartment that sleeps four in a sought-after professional and personal destination, The Lodge at Alderley Edge is the touchstone we wish we’d had during our own travels.
Lodge in luxury
The Lodge sits on a quiet residential road, with its own gardens, private access, and parking for two cars. Inside it’s been completely renovated: modern bed and bathrooms, smart TVs, and a well-stocked kitchen.
Housekeeping and a welcome hamper are standard, and our expert on Cheshire chic can organise a complete concierge service on request.
Life on the Edge.
Alderley Edge is known for being affluent, and its main strip certainly has no shortage of bars, restaurants, boutiques and specialty shops.
But things don’t begin and end with the high-end. Just around the corner from the champagne capital of the North are rolling countryside, local legends, corporate campuses, and a sprawling new science centre.
Home away from home.
The owners, Morag and Andrew, have been heavy business travellers, and The Lodge reflects their own desire for something different to corporate chain hotels.
Today they split their time between nearby Cheadle and our sister skiing chalets in the high Alps – The Lodges at Samoëns and Sixt.
Our concierge and housekeeper are on the ground in Cheshire, and someone is always on-hand to share some local knowledge.
A stay, not a stopover.
Hotels can be attractive for a night or two, but sometimes you need to plant your feet for a little longer, a little closer to the action. The Lodge is designed as a stylish place to stay for a week or more, and a way to make the most of your sojourn or secondment.
When you factor in taxis from an out-of-town hotel, our alternative is likely to be more cost-effective, too.
